Karön is the largest of the islands in Ronneby archipelago.
In the 1800s, the island was used as grazing land and the only building on the island was a cottage on the island's western tip.
Now there are a restaurant, swimming area and walking paths on the island. Around the island there are villas, which were built after the Ronneby Köping bought the island 1876th. Until 1885, it was built 14 villas, all of which are built in the Swiss style (fantasy style).
Karön is often called "Blekinges pearl". To get to Karön you go on a boat that runs between Ekenäs and Karön. The boat trip only takes a few minutes.
