One of the oldest and smallest daylight studios, which the photographer Oscar Ekholm built himself 1929.
Oscar Ekholm was born 1901 in Kallinge. He was as a child interested in photography. 1920, he received an apprenticeship at Studio Carlie in Ronneby. When the studio a year later changed owners he started his own business.
At home in his living room, he took photographs for passports and driving licenses. Gradually the business grew and in 1929 he built his studio on N. Smålandsgatan. Oscar did all his work and studio photo shoots there. For several years, he also worked with press and promotional images. Oscar Ekholm was active in the photographic profession until his death 1982nd
The museum shows the equipment Oscar Ekholm used. Everything has been preserved as it was in Ekholms time, including cameras and darkroom equipment. The large studio camera from the 1930s is one of the museum rarities.
